Business, Jakarta:PT Aneka Tambang is developing five projects to anticipate the implementation of Law no. 4/2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining in 2014. Antam CEO Alwin Syah Loebis, said he hoped the project would increase the company’s value and financial performance.
The law stipulates that all processing and purifying activities be conducted locally to stimulate the local economy. The first project is the chemical grade alumina (CGA) in Tayan, West Kalimantan. The project will produce a capacity of 300,000 tons. “We hope it can be operational by January 2014,” said Alwin.
