BUSINESS:Indofood's 2010 Net Income Grows 10%?

BUSINESS/JAKARTA: PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk booked a net income of IDR17.96 trillion in 2010, up 10% from IDR16.33 trillion in 2009.


In a press release sent to Bisnis, the food & beverage producer said that rising sales volume occurred across busines lines (Instant Noodle, Dairy, Food Seasoning, Snacks, Food Nutrition & Special Food.

The growth in net sales supported the achievement in gross income. The gross income rose by 26.9% to IDR4.97 trillion from IDR3.91 trillion in 2009. This widened gross income margin by 27.7% from 24.0%. 

As gross income rose, operating income jumped by 46.9% to IDR2.65 trillion from IDR1.80 trillion and operating income margin climbed to 14.7% from 11.0%. 

The growth in net income and core profit by 58.0% and 56.9% to IDR1.70 trillion and IDR1.68 trillion, respectively, reflected strong operational performance. (NOM)
